The Austrian Grand Prix which is governed by the FIA has so far conducted a total of 32 events and the 2018 Austrian GP was the 31st time to be held as a round of the F1 World Championship since 1950. On 30 June 2019, the 33rd running of the Austrian Grand Prix will be shown at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, Austria.
The 2019 Austrian Grand Prix will consist of over 71 laps and it is the 9th round of the 2019 FIA Formula One World Championship. The defending driver who will enter the circuit on Sunday is the Belgian-Dutch racing driver Max Verstappen.
Who Won the Inaugural Season of the Austrian GP?
The Austrian GP took frequent breaks from being a part of the Formula One motor race as the event was not held between 1965-69, 1988-96, and 2004-13. The Austrian GP returned to the F1 calendar in 2014 and since then the event has been held every year.
The first championship Austrian Grand Prix event was conducted in 1964 at the Zeltweg Airfield. The Italian Lorenzo Bandini of Ferrari won his first and only F1 Austrian GP in 1964. The previous year in 1963, the first non-championship event was held at the same field and it was won by the Australian Jack Brabham.
The circuit was considered too dangerous and with many other complaints, the FIA removed the event from the F1 calendar until a suitable track was constructed. In 1970, the Austrian GP was held at the Österreichring (Austria circuit) until 1987, followed by A1–Ring and Red Bull Ring.

The 2018 Austrian GP was won by the Belgian-Dutch driver Max Verstappen. Verstappen’s win with Red Bull was the first time Red Bull has won at their home Grand Prix. It was the first race that marked the first retirement for the Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton since the 2016 Malaysian Grand Prix.

The racer who has lifted the Austrian GP trophy the most is the retired French racing driver Alain Prost. He is considered one of the greatest F1 drivers of all time who has won the F1 Drivers’ Championship 4 times.
Alain Prost won his first Austrian Grand Prix with Renault in 1983 at the Österreichring circuit. He marked two more consecutive wins at the Austria circuit in 1985 and 1986. Therefore the most successful driver Alain Prost has won the title for a total of 3 times.
Has Sebastian Vettel Won an Austrian GP?

The first Austrian GP Championship event was won by the constructor Ferrari. The team went on to win 4 more F1 Constructors Championship with their most recent win in 2003. The most successful Constructor in Formula One is McLaren who have 6 titles to their name.
